Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Haulguard (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our websites, mobile applications, APIs, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to this policy.
Who we are
Haulguard provides logistics verification and shipment visibility tools for brokers, shippers, carriers, and drivers. Replace this sentence with your legal entity name and address if required for your jurisdiction.
Information we collect
- Account and profile data: name, username, email, phone number, organization type, tenant or company identifiers, credentials, and similar information you provide when registering or administering users.
- Operational and load data: shipment details you enter or sync (origin/destination, references, statuses, carriers, documents, POD-related data, audit and activity logs).
- Verification and identity-related data: photos or videos captured or uploaded during driver or checkpoint verification, optional metadata supplied with submissions (for example seal, truck, or trailer identifiers), and anti-fraud signals produced by automated checks.
- Location data: device location when you authorize it (for example approximate or precise GPS for verification pings or live tracking, subject to permission settings and applicable product configuration).
- Communications: SMS or email one-time codes, notifications, delivery receipts, support messages.
- Technical data: IP address, device type, operating system, app version, timestamps, diagnostics, crash data, cookie or session identifiers necessary to operate authenticated web sessions.
How we use information
- Provide, secure, operate, and improve the Services.
- Authenticate users, prevent fraud or abuse, and enforce terms.
- Send transactional messages (codes, alerts, POD or accounts-related email where configured).
- Meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
Sharing of information
We may share information:
- With participants in your supply chain workflows as reflected in the Services (for example brokerage staff, assigned shippers, carriers, or verification recipients)—consistent with roles and visibility in the product.
- With subprocessors such as hosting, telecommunications (SMS/email), mapping, analytics, or security vendors that help us run the Services.
- When required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger or asset transfer (with notice where appropriate).
We do not sell personal information as a traditional “sale” of data brokers’ lists.
Retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, contractual requirements, troubleshooting, audits, or legal retention. Retention varies by record type and your organization’s policies. You may request deletion where applicable—see Contact below.
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No internet transmission is perfectly secure; use strong passwords and protect your devices.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to certain processing. Account holders can often manage profile data in-app or in the web portal. For other requests, contact us using the details below.
Children
The Services are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
International transfers
If you access the Services from outside the country where our systems are hosted, data may be transferred and processed across borders with appropriate safeguards as required by law.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the revised version and adjust the “Last updated” date. Material changes may require additional notice.
